We believe chemical dependency is a primary, progressive, and terminal illness manifested by increasingly physical habituation and mental preoccupation with the use of alcohol and other drugs, to the total interruption and exclusion of normal life areas. Treatment must not only teach a rehabilitative program that will help persons to maintain total abstinence; in most it must also aim at some sort of basic habilitation and genuine integration of a new way of life as well.

Rachel began her work in the Chemical Dependency field in 2002 working in an outpatient setting as the Patient Care Coordinator for over 100 patients. She opened Advanced Choices in May 2006 to provide the community with an honest, reliable and effective Outpatient Treatment Center. She believes in compassionate, understanding, and honest treatment and has centered the Advanced Choices philosophy around the 12-step program.

Lenny has been with Advanced Choices since it opened in May 2006. He received his Masters’ in Applied Behavioral Science; focus on family systems counseling in 1994. He began his career in the Chemical Dependency field in 1987 helping start up the Community Recovery House and Detoxification Unit. In 1993, Lenny was a Masters' Level Intern at Northwest Youth Services where he created a 12 week group program for Youth Diversion.
