Our programs

Advanced Choices treatment programs have been developed by our Washington State Certified Chemical Dependency Professional Counselors with more than 45 years combined experience treating the Chemically Dependent. Advanced Choices provides best practice evidence based treatment such as Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, Matrix and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Alcohol and Drug Evaluations

(Chemical Dependency Assessment)

Alcohol and Drug Evaluations conducted to determine the proper level of care for an individual seeking chemical dependency treatment. The evaluation consists of three testing forms; these testing forms are in place to gage the patient’s defiance, acceptance, and personal understanding of current use. An Alcohol and Drug history is also collected detailing when the use first occurred, when the use became regular (if ever) and last time use occurred. The third and final part of the evaluation is the face-to-face interview with the Chemical Dependency Professional counselor. This interview collects specific information in the six diagnostic dimensions used for diagnosis chemical dependency. The evaluation is a very intense process and can last up to 3 hours.

Aftercare

Our Aftercare program is a 26 week to program designed to offer continued support for the patient after completion of an Intensive Outpatient Program. Intensive Outpatient

Our Intensive Outpatient program is an 8-week program designed to educate the patient on the disease of alcoholism and addiction. The program consists of 3 days a week 3 hours each visit. The first hour and half of group is spent on the topic, education, then there is a short break and the group comes back to process the topic and how it personally relates to them. This group is the highest level of care offered in an outpatient setting, if for any reason an individual is unable to engage and actively participate in their recovery the next level of care is inpatient treatment.

Educational Aftercare

This group focuses primarily on educating the individual on the risks and damages continued abuse of these substances can have on the mental, physical, and spiritual aspect of the individual. This is an early intervention group used to help stop the addiction cycle before it leads to the full-blown disease of addiction.

Urinalysis Testing

Advanced Choices provides random Urinalysis Testing to current patients along with individuals in the community who need and/or are required testing for pre-employment, pre-trial, and child custody cases. We offer a standard eight-panel laboratory drug test, instant urinalysis testing, breathalyzer blood alcohol level readings, and ETG testing.
