Research studies have shown the longer a youth is engaged in a treatment program the higher the success rate. The first phase of Advanced Choices treatment program begins with the most intense treatment available in an outpatient setting, Level II.1 Intensive Outpatient. This programs provides stabalization and education for youth.

Along the continuum of care the youth will transfer into the second phase of their treatment program Level I.0 Relapse Prevention, this program is developed to aid the youth in identifying their relapse triggers, cravings, and help them identify and build their social support network.

Conducted throughout the entire treatment program are individual counseling sessions. In these sessions, the youth and counselor develop the youth's Individualized Treatment Plan. Evaluated monthly, this plan of attainable goals ranging from the development of life skills, educational goals, and substance abuse related issues guides the youth and family through the treatment progam.
